FR-DB4
For Non-Flammable substrates, such as virgin plaster board or plaster board previously coated with multiple coats of water based paint, Dupré Minerals has developed a fully formulated paint system (DM880) and an additive system (FR-DB4) that can be typically added to manufacturer’s own water based decorative paints.
Dupre FR-DB4 additive has been tested to BS476 parts 6&7 and EN13501-1 on virgin plaster board and as an upgrade paint on plaster board that has been pre-coated with 10 coats of water based emulsion prior to coating with DM880.
In the tests the two coats FR-DB4 additive were applied at 12 m2 litre on to the substrate and it achieved the following test results:

BS 476 Part 7: Spread of Flame Test
The same tests were carried out by adding 20% by weight of Dupré Minerals Additive FR-DB4 to a household name off-the-shelf water based emulsion paint and the following test results were achieved.
